We started Zoup! to bring our community something truly special, yet also simple – a good, really good bowl of soup. Back in 1998, we opened our first soup-centric restaurant, and over the years, we’ve ladled up millions of bowls to soup lovers everywhere. We listened, we learned, and one thing became clear – the better the broth, the better the soup.
That’s why we take our time by slowly simmering fresh, high-quality ingredients & savory spices to develop rich, robust flavors. Whether it’s a sip-worthy broth or a soul-warming soup, every batch is thoughtfully crafted with wholesome ingredients and nothing artificial.

1994
Where it all began
Before Zoup! was even a name, we were spice merchants, selling to restaurants. Along the way, we noticed something – that good soup and broth were hard to find. We also knew how good, really good, soup and broth could bring warmth and comfort to people. We were inspired!
Stirring up something special
In 1998, we opened the doors to the very first Zoup! restaurant, and people couldn’t get enough. Bowl by bowl, we served up thoughtfully crafted soups and broths that kept customers coming back for more. As demand grew, so did we, expanding to over 100 locations across the U.S. and Canada, perfecting our recipes along the way.
Satisfying and Sippable Broth
At our restaurants, we heard it all the time: “Why can’t I find a broth this good at the grocery store?” We had the same question, so we set out to change that. Inspired by years of crafting rich, robust flavors, we launched Zoup! Good, Really Good® Broth, bringing slow simmered, satisfyingly sippable goodness to kitchens everywhere.

After decades of serving soup face-to-face, our focus shifted to where we could make the biggest impact, your pantry. We stepped away from restaurants to dedicate ourselves fully to crafting high-quality soups and broths for you, at home. Today, we offer glass-jar soups, bone broths, and our signature Culinary Concentrate™ broth bases, all designed to bring bold, comforting flavor to every meal.As our journey continues, let’s keep cooking up something good together.
