Zoup! Beef Culinary Concentrate Beef Stew

Ingredients

  • 4 diced bacon strips
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 3 lb beef chuck or stew meat cut in 2 inch chunks
  • 1 onion diced
  • 3 carrots chopped
  • 2 celery sticks chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Guinness stout
  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 tsp Zoup! Beef Bone Broth Culinary Concentrate
  • 1 lb baby potatoes
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 cup frozen peas

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.
  • Over medium heat, saute bacon in a large dutch oven. Once browned, remove and set aside.
  • Season beef with salt and pepper. Then sear the beef on all sides for 4 - 5 minutes. Remove from pan and set aside.
  • Saute the onion, celery, and carrots for 3 - 4 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for another minute. Add tomato paste and stir until well coated. Sprinkle vegetables with flour and stir to coat evenly.
  • Pour in the Guiness stout, water and Zoup! Beef Bone Broth Culinary Concentrate. Return the beef and bacon to the pot. Add the baby potatoes and bay leaves.
  • Cover Dutch oven with lid and transfer to oven for 3 - 3/12 hours or until beef is very tender. Discard the bay leaves and stir in the frozen peas.
  • Serve alone or over mashed potatoes. Enjoy!
