Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 24 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • ½ cup Zoup! Beef Bone Broth
  • 1 6 oz can of tomato paste
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • 4 sub rolls
  • 8 slices mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  • In a large slow cooker, mix together the crushed tomatoes, Zoup! Beef Bone Broth, tomato paste, bay leaves, red pepper flakes, & Italian seasoning.
  • In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, egg, parsley, garlic cloves, salt, black pepper, parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs and milk together. Form into meatballs and place into the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or until fully cooked.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Cut your sub rolls and fill with meatballs. Place a slice of mozzarella on the top and bake until the cheese is melted - about five minutes.
